Terms of service

What we commit to, what you commit to, and how we handle fees, timelines and cancellation.

Scope

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any service we provide, unless both parties sign a separate service agreement — in which case that agreement prevails over anything inconsistent here.

The nature of our services

We provide administrative and advisory services for business setup and support. We are not a law firm or a financial institution; we do not provide court representation or investment advice. Where those are needed, we refer you to a licensed provider.

What we commit to

  • An itemised quote separating government fees from our fee, before any work starts.
  • A named advisor responsible for your file, with a direct channel to them.
  • Same-working-day notice of any third-party delay affecting the agreed timeline.
  • Full confidentiality over everything you share with us.

What you commit to

  • Providing accurate, valid documents and telling us immediately if any of them changes.
  • Paying government fees on time — a delay there stops the transaction at the authority, not with us.
  • Responding to signature or attendance requests within the stated period, since some procedures have expiring windows.

Fees and payment

Our fee is stated in the quote and paid on the schedule set out there. Government fees are passed through at their official amount with no margin; any increase set by the authorities after the quote is issued is added at cost, with evidence.

Timelines

Timelines stated on the site and in our quotes are estimates assuming complete documents. Periods set by a government authority or a bank are outside our control; we are not liable for delays arising from them, but we keep you informed.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel in writing at any time. Our fee is due for work completed up to the cancellation date. Government fees already paid to the authorities are not refundable by us and are subject to those authorities' rules.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim does not exceed the fee paid to us for the service in question. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, nor for the outcome of a commercial decision you take based on general information published on this site.

Website content

Blog articles and guides are general information that changes as regulations change, and are not advice on your specific case. Verify any figure or procedure with us or with the relevant authority before relying on it.

Intellectual property

The content, logo and visual identity of this site belong to startup.ae. Deliverables we produce for you under a contracted service — logo, website, business plan — transfer to you on final payment.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
